Join us in voting early!First, let's elect Greg Beck for sheriff. Let's also re-elect Andy Berke as our state senate Democratic nominee as well as Tommie Brown and JoAnne Favors as our state representative Democratic nominees. This will also be our opportunity to elect a Democratic nominee for U.S. House of Representatives (Doug Vandergriff) and U.S. Senate (Bob Tuke, Mike Padgett, or Kenneth Eaton). Finally, several school board candidates are running in Hamilton County. We encourage you to look carefully at each before voting. Early vote begins today, July 18, at these locations and hours: Brainerd Recreation Center from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Election Commission Office from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Northgate Mall from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. For Transportation: Please call the Hamilton County Democratic Party to arrange a ride to the polls. The phone number is 266-4125. This post has 1 reply... I was very active with the Fairfax County (VA) Democratic Committee, helping to elect Democratic candidates in a very Republican-oriented state. Two of the most well-known successful campaigns that I worked on were Gov. Mark Warner and Gov. Tim Kaine - Warner having been on Senator Obama's VP list until he reclused himself to run for the Senate, and Kaine is still on the short list (although my husband and I think his selection as VP would be a major mistake).
