TONIGHT: THE FIRST ANNUAL MARILYN LLOYD DINNER WILL BE HELD AT 6 P.M. AT THE CHOO CHOO
Please join us as the Hamilton County Democratic Party hosts the First Annual Marilyn Lloyd Dinner at the Chattanooga Choo Choo Imperial Ballroom at 6 p.m. tonight.
Over 300 Democrats are expected to attend the dinner honoring Congresswoman Marilyn Lloyd (D-TN). Lloyd served in the U.S. House of Representatives for Tennessee's 3rd District from 1975-1995.
Speakers will be Congressman Bart Gordon (D-TN), Congressman Heath Shuler (D-NC), and Tennessee Democratic Party Chairman Gray Sasser. In addition, there will be greetings from President Jimmy Carter.
During the event, the "Marilyn Lloyd Scholarship" will be announced. The scholarship will be awarded annually to a Hamilton County public high school graduate planning to pursue a degree in public service.
