WHAT'S IT MEAN? SURPRISE WITNESS, REPUBLICAN SPEECH WRITER PEGGY NOONAN, SAYS REPUBLICANS "BUSY DYING"
On Friday May 16, the famous Republican speech writer Peggy Noonan said Republicans are falling apart and are "busy dying." She pronounced this death sentence for Republicanism in the Wall Street Journal. She called the op-ed "Pity Party."
Such news may be encouraging to Democrats, but we must not read into Noonan's piece an automatic victory in November. Victory is yet to be seen. And we have yet to see a Democratic nominee for President. For us to prevail, however, we might learn a talking point or two from Noonan.
We can learn from Noonan what's going WRONG with Republicans. And as most of us can guess and according to Noonan herself, it is about Republicans making mistakes in terms of being too busy getting rich, not standing for anything, having the lackluster Bush as leader, not winning the Iraq War, and so on.
